Greenacres Bar Clock

I made these for two local bars for christmas gifts,

The first is Greenacres Bar and Lounge in Tenacre, Kilmore, Co. Wexford run by Noel and Noeleen Troy.

The second is The Hideout Bar in Tomhaggard (where i grew up) and is run by Stephen and Tush Lawlor.

Both Are great country pubs with pool and darts and plenty of sports, and very nice people, I recommend a visit to them if you ever visit Co. Wexford in Ireland.

And I hope that these clocks will not stop working at closing time.....!!!!! ha ha...

Oh and if you would like any personalised designs like these email me with your ideas.

Home Made Drum Sander for around €40

I taught id share this idea i made today in approx one hour and very cheaply using left
over wood, silverline drum sanding bits-€10, A halfords power drill -€25, and a bracket to hold
the drill on the bench which i got at a fair for about €10.
This is extremely handy for those awkward
sanding jobs and the silverline kit came with
five different size drums, from 10mm to 50mm and pads of different grits aswell, I got this on ebay.

I used offcuts of doorframe screwed at back onto
the bench, Then a 2x1 screwed onto the front, Then a piece of MDF with a hole where the drill head is. I just put 2 screws in the mdf because i need to take it off to change the bits.
Well i hope you like this and save some time and
money.

Fifty pence shaped box

Well this one is my own design and project, I made this from Mahongany and Pine and
finished it with Teak Oil.

I make my designs with a program called - Corel Draw x4 - which is a great tool for making
scrollsaw patterns.

Oval box

This is a box i made with the scrollsaw mainly, I got this project from a book called - Box Making Projects by Gary Mackay.

This is a excellent book to help you learn how to make all sorts of box type projects.
I made this box from Mahogany and Pine, and finished it with teak oil which really brings out the colour of the wood.
